Join us for DNA Day April 25th 2023

This year DNA Day is cause for celebration as 70 years ago the double helix was discovered, and 20 years ago the genome was first sequenced. In 1953 when James Watson, Francis Crick, Maurice Wilkins, Rosalind Franklin, and colleagues published papers in the journal Nature on the structure of DNA, it yielded ground-breaking insights into the genetic code and protein synthesis. Then, in early April 2003, it was declared that the Human Genome Project was very close to completion. Over the years we have made great strides with CRISPR gene editing and now gene assembly. Please join us in Paris or South San Francisco for the festivities as we gather with leading members of the life science community such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New England Biolabs, Stilla Technologies, Genopole, and Villejuif Biotech, to commemorate these milestones and contemplate the future of genomics.
